›The vendor's own wording
The pricing page describes the Pro allowance in full as "More usage*". No message count, token count or window size appears anywhere on the page; the asterisk leads to the usage-limits documentation, which also states no figure.Open the source page

Subscription versus your own API key
This compares two ways of working the same way — in an IDE or CLI, where BYOK tools make a direct API key a real option. It is not a claim that subscriptions are cheaper than the API in general.

Usage terms
Quoted from the vendor's own terms. We do not give legal advice.
Consumer Terms §3 lists among the things you may not do: "Except when you are accessing our Services via an Anthropic API Key or where we otherwise explicitly permit it, to access the Services through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise." The same terms separate the two tracks up front: "Our Commercial Terms of Service govern your use of any Anthropic API key, the Anthropic Console, or any other Anthropic offerings that reference the Commercial Terms of Service. For clarity, this does not include Claude.ai or Claude Pro use for individuals or entities."
